WillClan4Food started as a Halo 2 clan created in April of 2005 by three guys called WCF Money, Bigtoe101 and YourAngryMother. Tired of whining kids and the immaturity of matchmaking they formed "Wilclan4food".
As a Halo 2 clan, WillClan4Food (WCF) existed to give more mature players the opportunity to play with like-minded individuals. In WCF, the focus is not on winning every game, but rather having fun and developing friendships that manifest into more enjoyable experiences for everyone. This is not to say that WCF is not competitive. Many of our members are very good, but WCF never excludes or alienates those who get 2 kills and 10 deaths in a game.
WCF balances competitiveness with carefree attitudes. WCF is an age-restricted clan, and only accepts new members over the age of 21. The Clan does not boost, cheat or harass. With the ever expanding selection of of Xbox 360 games the clan has expanded to welcome more gamers from different gaming genres. The clan is home to a balanced group of members who enjoy games from Halo, Call of Duty and Battlefield, as well the occasional game of poker. The Clan strives to be inclusive, not exclusive, and our ultimate goal is for everyone to enjoy good games with good people.
WillClan4food shall be ruled by two equal Overlords. Said Overlords shall act as the high example to all members in conduct. He or she emulates WCF to the greater gaming community. In the event of an unresolved tie-vote between Overlords, one Overlord can, at an open meeting, ask the Staff to vote. The majority vote as voiced by all staff present at the meeting and will constitute a third and tie-breaking vote. This vote cannot be halted or delayed for any reason. The staff will vote in a public vocal vote, the tally of this vote in the form of a majority of at least 51% will constitute the third and tie breaking vote.
Membership in WCF is an honor; members should act in accordance with the Charter and the Code of Conduct at all times. This community is to promote friendship in and out of game. With membership come obligations: obligations to each other and the Clan body as a whole. WCF Members will maintain membership in only one traditional Xbox Live clan, WillClan4Food. All WCF members must fly at least one of two membership flags in their Xbox Live motto or bio, www.WillClan4Food.net or WillClan4Food member. Accepted members of the Clan may choose to add “WCF” to their gamer tag. WCF asks members to remain active on both Xbox Live and WillClan4Food.net.
A WCF recruit must post to WillClan4Food.net. After posting an application, the recruit must fill out a profile and be active on the forums. WCF do not look at a recruit’s skill in any given videogame. Acceptance to WCF is based on the recruit’s attitude, and how they interact with WCF and the larger gaming community. Throughout the recruitment process, the recruit should act in accordance with this Charter and Code of Conduct. It is best interest of the recruit to get into as many games as possible with clan members, to remain active on the forums of the website. The timeline process of membership can take as little as two weeks but no more than three months. Movement to full membership status is completed by vote at an open meeting of the clan as called by an Overlord. Testimony is requested by an Overlord for all new recruits. The present Overlords and staff must reach a popular vote of 51% or greater accordance regarding whether the recruit will receive membership status, stay at recruit status, or if the recruit is not appropriate for membership in the clan. Recruits may be dismissed from this process by gross failure to act in accordance of WCF Code of Conduct by any member of the Clan. This action must be reported to both Overlords and the staff body immediately so the former recruit can be moved to banned status.
Membership, once given cannot be taken away except in cases where it is deemed necessary for the welfare and good of the Clan. Expulsion can only be carried out by the unanimous consent of both Overlords at an open meeting of the clan. In the case of only one serving Overlord, the unanimous vote of the Staff will constitute the second vote. Removal must be made public to the clan membership via the clan website.
Allies are people who are welcomed to WCF with friendship; they are members of the greater gaming community who have shown interest and respect in and to WCF. They are also our friends or family and are always welcome to game with our membership unless the member is involved with a clan only organized event. A WCF member cannot be held accountable to the actions of an Ally but WCF members must uphold the WCF Code of Conduct at all times.
The Overlords and staff shall meet once a month. The meeting announcement shall be posted for 72 hours before a meeting can take place. Minutes of the meeting are to be posted on the clan website no less than 72 hours after. Meetings are open to all members unless an Overlord asks for an Executive Council Session. Executive Council Sessions shall only be called when one of the Overlords feel that it is in the best interest of the clan or a clan member that items remain between Staff and Overlords. In order to enter into Executive Council both Overlords must be present unless only one is serving in the position as well as at least three Staff members. No votes may be cast at an Executive Council Session. No guests, Allies, or non-Staff members may be present during the session. Announcement that a council session was called must be present on the meeting minutes.
This status is reserved for former Staff and Overlords of the Clan. It denotes retirement from a position; however Emeriti can still hold any office within the clan after Emeritus is granted. It is the highest honor WCF can bestow to a member, and should only be given under the most selective terms, and after no fewer than six months have passed from the departure from a clan position. This honor is bestowed following a vote of the Overlords and the active Staff; and once granted this status can never be taken away. Emeriti are invited to add to their XboxLive bio “WCF Overlord Emeritus” or “WCF Staff Emeritus”. As long as the Emeriti remain a member, they will have access to the staff room and all meetings; they will have a voice, they will not have a vote.
Clan Supported Games are multiplayer games chosen by population use. Members are not required to buy or own any one game. We ask all members when playing a supported game to first look and see if WCF members are playing in a current party. If no party exists, we ask members to send invites to players in the game at that time. Members are exempt form this if they are playing a free for all game type or campaign. This is a benefit of membership.
The changing of these bylaws or adoption of a new Charter must be by vote of the membership as a whole. Changes must be posted to the Clan website for all membership of WCF for one-week period. Following the review period the voting period, will last exactly 7-days. The changes can only be adopted by a majority vote of 51% of the voting membership. A member shall vote for or against adoption via email ballot to two preselected members, who will collect, tally and publish results to WCF membership.
